Fang the Hunter (also known as Nack the Weasel and formerly Fang the Sniper) is a treasure-hunting jerboa who first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble. Fang lives in the Special Stages and tries to get his hands on the Chaos Emeralds for monetary purposes. He is a slick villain, but his aspirations are small-time. He uses a popgun as he weapon and uses an airbike named the Marvelous Queen.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Fang has purple fur with a white muzzle and underbelly. He wears a big brown stetson hat, brown boots with white gaiters, brown gloves with metal plates on them and a brown belt with a gold buckle. True to his name, Fang has a prominent fang appearing from the left side of his mouth. He has long ears, long feet and a long, thick, purple tail that he uses to lay back on, for bouncing on and attacking his foes.

Triple Trouble[edit | edit source]
In his debut title, Fang appears as one of the three main antagonists in the game, alongside Eggman and Knuckles, all opposing Sonic and Tails in a race for the Chaos Emeralds. Unlike Knuckles who was duped by Eggman, Fang is purely motivated by his greed, as he seeks to steal the Chaos Emeralds for himself. At the end of each Special Stage, Sonic (or Tails) must fight Fang for control over the Chaos Emeralds.
With the exception of the first Special Stage, Fang is fought in the Marvelous Queen as a boss to obtain one of the Chaos Emeralds. He makes an appearance in Atomic Destroyer Zone Act 3 just before the final boss fight with Eggman. If the player failed to obtain the Chaos Emeralds, Fang will appear to taunt them at the end of the credits.
Sonic the Fighters[edit | edit source]
Prior to the events of the game, Fang managed to steal one of the Chaos Emeralds. Since Eggman had created his new Death Egg II to deploy hordes of robots to lay the world to waste with, Fang agreed to join the fighting tournament held to decide which one among the Chaos Emerald guardians was the strongest. Fang is one of eight, later nine possible candidates for the right to pilot Tails' single-seat Lunar Fox to destroy the Death Egg II.
