Espio the Chameleon is a purple chameleon and a recurring character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a member of a mercenary group, Team Chaotix, which is led by Vector the Crocodile, and is a trained ninja. Espio made his first appearance in the Sega 32X title, Knuckles' Chaotix.

Sonic Heroes[edit | edit source]
In Sonic Heroes, the player can play as Espio and his two friends, Charmy Bee and Vector, by choosing Team Chaotix from the character select. Espio is mostly experienced in Speed, and his statistics are tied with Sonic, Shadow and Amy.
Shadow the Hedgehog[edit | edit source]
In Shadow the Hedgehog, Espio is an assisting character, and he helps out Shadow in Mad Matrix. Later on, during the ending, Espio and the rest of Team Chaotix accidentally set off a video that gives Shadow the rest of his memories from the Space Colony Ark back, giving him the confidence to defeat Black Doom.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games[edit | edit source]
Espio appears as a referee for several Events in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games's Wii version, but is absent from the Nintendo DS release.
