The Game Boy Advance is a handheld console that was created and manufactured by Nintendo. It was released in 2001, and marked the first time that Sega, upon becoming a third-party game developer, released a Sonic the Hedgehog game on a Nintendo system.
In the 2000s, the Game Boy Advance received a few remodels. The first one is the Game Boy Advance SP, released in 2003, which has a backlit screen and a clamshell design. The other model is the Game Boy micro, released in 2005.
